Scientific Development Specialist

**Function**:
**Main Goal**:

- Design and develop advanced biostatistical tools for breeding and discovery teams, ensuring their adaptation to various species, programs, and databases.
- Integrate and deploy tools on a global scientific IT system
- Adapt the tools and algorithms to modern data platform.
- Ensure the production, support, and maintenance of developed analysis tools.
- Collaborate closely with breeders and researchers to assist them in using analysis tools, train them, and gather their needs.
- Provide occasional statistical expertise to breeding and discovery teams.

**What we expect of you**:

- You have a higher education degree in statistics, mathematics, or quantitative genetics (animal or plant breeding)
- Strong proficiency in software development, particularly with the R ecosystem, CONDA, and GIT. Knowledge of Python.
- Familiarity with handling large-scale data and developing biostatistical tools.
- With good interpersonal skills, you enjoy providing support to operational teams.
- Strong communication skills in English. French is an advantage.
- Your organizational skills allow you to handle multiple projects and activities simultaneously.
- Ideally, you have a good understanding of plant breeding challenges.
