Your mission

You play a leading role in shaping and executing our product vision and strategy, and by constantly enhancing our offer you’re enabling our Business Unit to take the market leading position among agnostic software solutions for inspection and management of component quality. Your primary mission is to strategically align product and technology initiatives with overall business objectives and to support the Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions (SMF) business area segment in achieving its mission of Simplifying Manufacturing by building a seamless and easy to use end-to-end solution portfolio, helping customers to automate and optimize their processes.

You lead a dynamic and cross-functional team of senior managers and experts, inspiring high performance and development. Your team is responsible for overseeing the entire product portfolio, as well as the development and execution of product and technology roadmaps in the business unit - in line with the customers’ current and future needs.

Your main responsibilities include:

- Driving technological innovation, facilitating collaboration, harnessing capabilities and managing competence journeys within the business unit.
- Identifying opportunities, market and technology trends, and current and future customer needs within the area of industrial metrology.
- Defining strategies for the portfolio of products under your responsibility in line with the business unit’s growth
- and profitability plans, anchoring these with key customers, resellers, internal stakeholders and leaders and key employees within the business unit.
- Creating and continuously developing structures and ways of working to orchestrate industrial eco-systems and partnerships.
- Building and nurturing relevant networks of stakeholders, internally and externally, ensuring these partnerships mutually generates desired business results.
- Scouting new business opportunities and partnerships of potential interest, including disruptive technologies, start-ups and other potential M&A targets within our needed ecosystem.
- Initiating and sponsoring strategic initiatives within your area of responsibility, as part of the business unit’s strategy.
- Representing the business unit in relevant councils on business area level, as well as at broader events, such as trade shows and seminars.
- Being an ambassador within your team for cross-collaboration across teams, geographies, and businesses.

You report to the President of Metrologic Group and actively contribute to the management team, where you also utilize the possibility to learn from others and bring the entire business unit forward. The location for this role is flexible within Europe, however frequent presence at our headquarters in Grenoble, France, is expected. International travel is also a natural part of the job.

Your profile
We’re looking for a commercially strong and inspiring technology leader with experience from businesses or teams developing software solutions based on modern technology, preferably in the discrete manufacturing industry and industrial metrology. Experience from driving technology and/or business transformation is an advantage. You know how to balance and act on a forward-thinking strategy with the tactical ability of driving execution in a shifting market. As we act across borders and cultures, you naturally need an open mind and advanced communication skills in English and French.

You’re brave in decision-making, and you confidently initiate change when needed. With your truly customer-focused outlook, you promote areas that are
