**Description of the Team/Project**:
Are you interested in understanding the physical properties of single-photon emitters?
We’re seeking an R&D optics engineer to join our team to improve the quality of the single-photon sources essential for Quandela’s quantum computers.
Our team bridges the gap between the fabrication of the sources and the integration in quantum processing units, playing a pivotal role and giving feedback for the rapid improvement of our devices.
**Your Key Responsibilities**:
Advanced quantum dot characterization:
- Contribute to the optical characterization of single semiconductor quantum dots.
- Perform data analysis to compare sample performance and extract key metrics (e.g., brightness, linewidth, optical and spin coherence).
- Collaborate across the semiconductor technology and optics teams to optimize device design and experimental setups.
**Requirements**:
- You are pursuing a Master's degree in Nanotechnologies, Quantum Optics, or a related field. This position is only valid with an Internship Agreement.
- Seeking a 5 to 6-month end-of-study or gap-year internship (full time).
- Passionate about physics and semiconductors, with an interest in working in an international group of engineers and researchers.
- Previous experience in semiconductor devices or spectroscopy through internships or academic projects.
- Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages, data analysis.
