Accountant

**WHAT IS ON OFFER**
Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join our team in Kitwe, Zambia. In this role, you will play an important part in supporting various finance functions including assisting in the preparation of Monthly Management Reports and maintaining an accurate asset register. You will also have the opportunity to get involved with debt management, cash control, and stock management, ensuring smooth financial operations across the department.

You will support maintaining a robust internal control system and assist with stock control, working closely with external auditors for year-end procedures. Your responsibilities will also include preparing all statutory accounts, ensuring they are paid by the deadline, and completing all returns correctly.

**DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?**
To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

**Required Competencies**
- Good communication skills
- Must possess the highest levels of integrity, accountability and honesty.

**Required Work Experience**
- Experience in handling Pastel Accounting
- 2 years or more experience in the same capacity is desirable

**Required Qualifications**
- Holder of ZICA/CA Qualification, ACCA, or equivalent
- Full grade Twelve Certificate with credits or better in English and Mathematics is key
- Registered Member of the “Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants”
