Amylyx is seeking an accomplished **Country Medical Director,** France **to lead the development of the medical affairs strategy and programs, to ensure accurate, robust and appropriate medical/scientific exchange with internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities, and to be a spokesperson with the public in France. As a priority, the Country Medical Director is responsible for all medical affairs activities related to the launch and the support of the reimbursement process for Amylyx's leading investigational product and indication, AMX0035 in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). He/she will build and lead a small local medical team.

The Country Medical Director will bring strong leadership qualities, high level of cross-functional collaboration and the ability to influence across all levels of the organization. He/she will be hands-on and entrepreneurial in his/her approach to building an organization and finding solutions for business opportunities and challenges.** **The incumbent will be a scientific and strategic thinker with the ability to execute in a dynamic organization, which is rapidly moving towards commercialization. Passion for the patient community and commitment to patient advocacy are paramount for this position.

**Responsibilities**:

- As a key member of the French team, contributes to strategic business decisions as well as direct implementation with high quality medical affairs advice and experience to support the French team in launching and marketing AMX0035 in ALS and future indications
- In collaboration with the EMEA and French cross-functional team, contribute to the development of the pre-launch and launch plan for AMX0035 in ALS in France with direct responsibility for the development and execution of the country Medical Affairs strategy and implementation of the medical affairs plan and tactics
- Lead the Early Access program in France, if approved by French authorities, in collaboration with Amylyx EMEA functions.
- Drive the planning and execution of local medical meetings (e.g., advisory boards, symposia, conferences) and actively contribute to the execution of Amylyx's strategy at national scientific meetings
- Develop and lead regional engagement plans with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other key external stakeholders in France; develop meaningful relationships with KOLs across France by actively visiting ALS centers of Excellence and various local and national events
- Serve as a spokesperson alongside the Country General Manager to inform the scientific community, patients and their families as well as other relevant external stakeholders about Amylyx, AMX0035 in ALS and future indications, and future programs
- Maintain in-depth understanding of the disease state, product, competitors, marketplace, related medical areas, and local regulatory guidelines - be the local referent for French team's training and responsible for keeping the team scientifically informed
- Deliver timely, fair balanced, objective, scientific information and education to health care customers and to internal business partners as required by business needs
- Partner with market access colleagues in developing strategy and value dossier preparation for market access filings in France. Provide medical input into Health Economics, disease models, epidemiological studies, market research and real-world study proposals based on a deep understanding of clinical data and real-world clinical practice
- Build and lead the medical function in France to ensure a successful launch and adequate country support, hire and lead a team of field-based MSLs, set tangible results-oriented objectives for the team, track and measure progress
- Leverage scientific knowledge and KOL relationships gathering insights to identify opportunities for activities leading to scientific advancement and support the submission and review process of Investigator Sponsored Trials research studies
- Set and achieve high standards with regards to Pharmacovigilance, compliance and SOPs
