Manager I, Engineering

The Frontend Framework team at Datadog builds and maintains the core monorepo architecture and tooling that powers the work of over 500 frontend engineers. As an Engineering Manager on this team, you'll lead a tightly knit group of engineers responsible for shaping shared infrastructure—enabling teams to ship scalable, performant, and consistent product experiences across Datadog.

**What You'll Do**:

- Lead a team of 6 engineers working on architecture, tooling, and shared components for Datadog's frontend monorepo
- Define a clear technical vision and roadmap, and align it with company-wide engineering goals
- Collaborate with Staff Engineers and partner teams to ensure the tools and patterns you build meet real-world needs
- Contribute to the team's work through design reviews, architectural decisions, and hands-on technical contributions
- Mentor and support engineers through feedback, goal setting, and career development

**Who You Are**:

- Proven experience (1+ years) leading frontend engineering teams with a strong focus on developer experience.
- Deep technical expertise in modern frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, CSS), with recent hands-on coding experience
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams and functions
- Experience mentoring engineers at different stages of their careers
- Strong interest in frontend performance, architecture, and helping others move fast without breaking things
