Observability Engineering Manager

**About the job**

The Observability PaaS team is building an all-in-one monitoring platform to provide dashboarding and alert capabilities to both Scaleway’s products and customer systems.
- Reporting to the Head of PaaS Engineering, you will be in charge of managing the team and their project.
- You will be responsible for leading a team of five people to successfully deliver the features of this product. You will represent be the engineering side leg of the engineering, product management, and product design squad.
- You will play a key part in delivering a product of the highest quality with great features to our customers.

**Minimum qualifications**:

- Ability to lead a team thanks to your excellent soft skills and mindset
- Experience with agile project management
- Excellent communication skills with multiple people from different teams
- Very good command of English (French is a big plus)

**Preferred qualifications**:

- Good understanding of cloud ecosystems
- Understanding of and experience with the DevOps and GitOps paradigms
- Coding experience, preferably with Golang
- Having already used observability tools in a production environment is a plus
- A PhD in Slackology

**Responsibilities**:

- Make sure your team members enjoy working in a meaningful and healthy work environment
- Help your team members stay focused on what they do best by removing roadblocks
- Bridge the gap between our Devs and Product Managers/Designers.
- Manage the product backlog
- Define the right balance between speed and -vs-quality in order to hand over first-rate deliverables while respecting deadlinesbalance to the right level at the right time
- Synchronize with other teams to resolve dependencies
- Build a well-balanced and talented team through wise hiring and career management

**Location**
- Based in our offices in Paris or Lille (France), partial/full remote is possible

**Salary Range**
- 77,000 - 96,000 EUR per year
