About The Role As Engineering Manager, your mission is to lead, grow, and inspire a high-performing engineering team to build scalable, reliable, and secure products that gives power back to investors. You’ll be responsible for hiring and developing top-tier engineers, driving execution on complex projects, and fostering a culture of technical excellence. Working closely with the VP of Engineering, Product, Design, and other stakeholders, you’ll shape the roadmap and ensure our engineering organization delivers with speed, quality, and impact. Main Scope Squad Delivery Ownership: ensure delivery aligns with business goals, product priorities, and technical standards. People & Performance Management: guarantee each employee receives mentorship, clarity, and feedback, and the team can grow through clear expectations and autonomy. Technical Excellence & Observability: keep domain systems healthy, monitored, and resilient. Uphold and evolve engineering best practices. Drive AI adoption at the engineering level. Cross-Functional Leadership: collaborate seamlessly with Product, Design, and other squads. Represent engineering in cross-team discussions and decisions. Culture & Hiring: attract, hire, and onboard top engineering talent. Serve as a visible ambassador of Finary’s engineering culture. Ideal Fit Have proven leadership experience managing engineering teams in a fast-paced environment. Love hiring, coaching, and mentoring engineers, fostering both individual and team growth. Are a bar-raiser, always looking to elevate quality and push for excellence. Have a strong technical background, with experience in cloud environments, capable of making and guiding architectural decisions. Can balance business needs with engineering quality, making pragmatic trade-offs when needed. Communicate effectively and collaborate seamlessly across teams and stakeholders. Thrive in environments with shifting priorities, where adaptability is key. Bonus Points Have experience scaling engineering teams from early-stage to growth. Bring exposure to fintech, banking, or other regulated environments. Have built AI-powered features or infrastructure.
