Abuse Modeling Engineer

Automotive Cells Company (ACC) est une co-entreprise créée à l'été 2020 par **Saft-Total**, le **Groupe PSA et Opel** (devenus **Stellantis** depuis)et **Mercedes-Benz**. **Job description**:
The abuse modeling engineer will model thermal behavior of cells and modules during specific abusive condition (thermal runaway, overheating, short circuits) using Computer Aided Engineering tools, like Star CCM+ from Siemens. He/she will also be in charge to strongly liaise with testing and V&V team to correlate his/her models and support tests development. He/she will support mechanical design teams for cells and module design. He/she will have cross activities with cell modeling engineer to optimize and manage all battery thermal aspect.. He/she will have to present results of his studies internally and to customers. He/she will manage his simulation environment and manage the digital continuity.

As an Abuse Modeling Engineer you should be familiar with the following tasks:

- Perform thermal simulation of abusive conditions at pack, module and cell level
- Develop specific thermal runaway models
- Liaise with test and V&V team
- Able to coordinate characterization test
- Correlate models vs reality to improve company experience
- Manage internal and external projects, contracts, while collaborating with internal teams (R&D, Industrialization, Projects, Simulation,)
- Manage collaborations with suppliers, customers and strategic partners
- Contribution in the company roadmap
- Be up to date to the state of the art on its topic of expertise
- Support Intellectual Property monitoring and propose innovative patentable concepts

**Profile**:
**_ Know How_**
- Thermal/CFD/ Simulation mastering
- Fluid mechanics good mastering
- Heat transfer mastering
- Knowledge of battery manufacturing processes
- Knowledge on various analytical methods commonly used in simulation
- Problem solving methods

**_ Experience_**

Minimum 3 years of experience in similar job

**_ Qualification_**
- MSc with 3 years of experience or PhD with thesis
- Fluent in English
