We are currently seeking a forward thinking, highly motivated Risk professional to join our team in Paris as a Country compliance Manager in the Compliance and Operational Risk function. The C&OR team is a key second line independent risk management function within the legal entity and is responsible for overseeing and ensuring an adequate internal control framework is in place and commensurate to the entity’s size, volume, activities, locations and nature/complexity of inherent compliance and operational risks.
The scope of the role is to cover all applicable regulations relevant to the legal entity, alongside the functional C&OR Banking and Markets coverage teams. You will have oversight over country-specific control activities and procedures, and support the legal entity governance framework, management risk committees and forums, to Executive Committee.

**Responsibilities**:
- Assessment of new regulations impacting the French Broker-Dealer
- Regulatory point of contact for regulatory reports applicable to the French broker dealer, such as the Annual Report on Internal Controls, Annual Report of the RCSI, horizontal reports (SURFI, PROTIDE ), and new reports regulatory intake management
- Review of hiring and conflict of interest review, in partnership with ABAC and HR
- Support and delivery of French specific entity-related regulatory training and material
- Support of Country governance for C&OR activities, such as business continuity management, country response team, space management controls, ExCo
- France C&OR engagement and D&I representation
- Coordination of input into ACPR/AMF/ECB white papers or industry committees
- Support of local exams and inspections impacting C&OR across several businesses and functions
- Coordination and oversight of coverage of some functional processes, such as clients assets protection, research, finance
- Participate in the enterprise risk and control assessment when needed
- Support preparation of internal reporting
- Promote the control awareness, training and advisory
- Any other tasks/ projects assigned by the Head of Department

**Core Skills**:
- Consistent track record of experience in the French compliance area with deep knowledge of end to end activity preferably in the broker dealer activity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- able to present to senior partners in a clear and concise way
- Influencing/negotiation skills and ability to manage debate and conflict professionally
- Able to demonstrate positive teamwork, while also working independently
- Able to collaborate across teams, functions and regions
- Can deliver results in a high energy, dynamic environment and to tight deadlines
- Excellent analytical skills and reporting skills with attention to detail, and a positive attitude
- Ability to interpret large volume of data and synthesize relevant information
- Relevant Risk, Control or Audit experience
- Fluent English and French speaker
