**About the job**

Based at Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris the Assistant Bar Manager reports directly to the Bar Manager.

**As Assistant Bar Manager you will be responsible for the following duties**:

- **Operational Management**: Ensure bar opening/closing according to hotel standards; oversee service quality and compliance with hygiene and hospitality procedures.
- **Team Leadership**: Train and supervise bartenders and servers; manage schedules with the Bar Manager; lead daily briefings to coordinate special events.
- **Customer Service**: Welcome international guests with professionalism; personalize the guest experience and handle complaints diplomatically.
- **Stock & Inventory Management**: Monitor stock levels (drinks, glassware, accessories), manage orders within budget, and ensure product quality through premium suppliers.
- **Internal Collaboration**: Coordinate closely with front desk, room service, and restaurant teams to ensure smooth operations.
- **Sales & Standards Compliance**: Organize themed events and tastings; contribute to seasonal or custom cocktail menus; uphold hygiene and safety standards (HACCP, hotel protocols).

**As Assistant Bar Manager we expect from you**:

- Fluency in English and French, a third language would be appreciated
- A significant experience in the bartending industry in a parisian luxury establishment—ideally a minimum of 3 years
