Pre-sales Engineer

**About the role**:
Pre-Sales Engineers within VITEC’s European Customer Success team are responsible for working with the VITEC Sales Team to assist in generating sales and meeting sales targets.

**What you’ll do**:

- Work with VITEC sales team/channel partners to analyse customer requirements and propose solutions based on VITEC’s range of IPTV, Video Streaming and Digital Signage products
- Respond to RFPs, produce statements of compliance and bills of materials, and document proposed solutions
- Educate/train channel partners, consultants and customers on VITEC products/solutions
- Prepare and deliver presentations
- Demonstrate and promote VITEC products/solutions to channel partners and prospective customers
- Implement Proof-of-Concept solutions
- Contribute to the product roadmap by feeding back customer requests and ideas
- Visit customer sites to commission VITEC products/solutions.

**Profil**:
**About You**:

- A technical professional with at least 2 years experience in a technical role such as a Pre-Sales Engineer, Technical Support Engineer or similar.
- Qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering, Networking or related field
- Good general skills in computing and technology
- Knowledge of IP network-based products and IP networking solutions
- Knowledge of digital audio/video technologies
- Knowledge of video streaming technologies
- Working knowledge of Linux and Windows
- Skills in software, shell scripting and/or web development
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- The ability to build customer relationships
- The desire and commitment to provide great customer service
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Fluency in French and English
- Fluency in another European language such as Spanish or Italian would be a nice-to-have

**Location**:
The role can be based in VITEC’s Châtillon office (92320), or at the Pre-Sales Engineer’s home office.

The role will involve regular visits and meetings in the Chatillon office, as well as at customer sites in Paris, elsewhere in France, Europe and North Africa. The total time spent on these visits or meetings is expected to be up to 30% to 40%.
