**Post description**
Within ASN Marine, the Offshore Operations Manager (OOM) oversees all operational activities to ensure high quality and optimized service delivery.
During the operations’ preparation phase:
- Makes sure that all the elements needed by the vessels to carry out their operations are available.
- Analyses the marine operations planning, ensures availability checks, requirements and coherence of information needed for operations such as “operational permitting”, procedures, technical means to perform the project in good conditions.
During the operations and project deployment:
- Performs assessment or survey falling in his expertise field, manages cable laying vessel importation process in coordination with the logistics and project teams, follows-up the marine operations progress with the project and marine teams.
- Oversees administration and reporting by being the contact of the agent(s) involved in the operations, ensuring that vessel insurance policies are in place, vessel crew hold valid visas and authorizations to work in compliance with local regulation.
- Follows-up marine installation incident report occurred during the project operations and ensures implementation of mitigation measures by the relevant department, standby/ downtime periods of vessel and submarine equipment installed on vessels and ensures that appropriate implementation and coordination of security means when required.
Offshore operations expertise and support:
- Provides marine technical expertise to sales and marketing teams, participates occasionally in writing technical specifications for project subcontractors’ tenders and constitution of commercial and legal claims when required.
**Profile required** Skills**
- Excellent organizational skills and a proven ability to prioritize work and effectively manage its time.
- Outstanding communication skills to work effectively and dynamically, fostering an environment of team working.
- Excellent verbal/written communications skills in English and French.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to the ever-changing environment, reacting quickly to meet challenges whilst exercising calmness under pressure.
- Risk management technics (HSEQ, cost control )
- Project planning, coordination, and leadership
**Experience**
- Master degree in marine science, maritime or relevant technical area
- 5 years + of experience in cable or flexible product laying, burying, cable technology
- Marine experience is appreciated.
