Since 1978, our Group has been constantly growing and innovating to offer its customers increasingly efficient maritime, land, air, and logistics solutions. Driven by a strong desire to design ever more effective solutions to serve a world in motion, the Group launched CMA CGM AIR CARGO in 2021, thereby expanding its transport and logistics offering. The Group has also recently grown further with the acquisition of the Belgian airline company "Air Belgium". Regarding CMA CGM AIR CARGO, the company is already equipped with a fleet of four long-haul aircraft (1 A330F and 3 B777F). This fleet will be further expanded with the addition of eight Airbus A350Fs by 2027, making CMA CGM AIR CARGO the launch operator of this new aircraft. Moreover, thanks to support from a partner, AIR CARGO now operates on the transpacific route with two additional B777Fs, which are owned by the Group. Within CMA CGM AIR CARGO, you will be responsible for overseeing the legal aspects of the projects and activities of our air freight airline, which handles the CMA CGM Group’s air cargo operations in France and internationally. RESPONSIBILITIES In close collaboration with the CMA CGM Group’s Legal Department teams (corporate, contracts, litigation, etc.): You assess the legal risks related to air transport operations and contribute to the structuring and development of CMA CGM Air Cargo; **You manage the legal aspects of transactions**: drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documentation including contracts with clients (charters, BSAs, etc.), suppliers (operations and maintenance, ground handling, etc.), and partners; You review appropriate clauses in commercial contracts and agreements, particularly insurance-related aspects in coordination with the Group's Insurance Department; You ensure compliance with applicable air transport regulations (EASA, DGAC, FAA, traffic rights, etc.); You select and oversee external legal counsel; You handle certain pre-litigation and commercial litigation matters and raise awareness among operational teams of legal risks. PROFILE & SKILLS You hold a Master’s degree (Bac +5) in Business Law and/or Aviation Law, obtained in France or abroad, and have between 5 and 10 years of experience as a legal counsel in the aviation or aerospace sector. You have solid expertise in aviation law, including Common Law, and have worked either for an airline or in a law firm specializing in air transport. Proactive, rigorous, and autonomous, you can manage priorities effectively, enjoy working as part of a team, and are a driving force for solutions. You possess strong analytical and synthesis skills, along with excellent interpersonal and writing abilities. You are fluent in both English and French.
