  • Support operational and commercial teams by providing legal analysis and recommendations on ad hoc transport operations, projects, or long-term contracts. Review sanctions compliance clauses and secure decisions relating to sensitive operations by verifying all elements of the transaction (customers, vessels, ports, cargoes, payments, etc.).

  • Manage and structure the Group's compliance with national sanctions and/or export control regimes (in particular EAR/ITAR) by assessing goods classifications and determining the necessary authorizations from the perspective of a maritime carrier's activities.

Monitoring and Analysis

  • Analyze, monitor, and implement international sanctions issued by the European Union, the United States (BIS, OFAC), the United Kingdom, the United Nations, and other applicable national regimes. Maintain active legal and regulatory monitoring of geopolitical and regulatory developments in order to anticipate their impact on the Group's activities, including maritime transport, logistics, supply chain, energy, and international projects.

  • Draft internal memoranda, guidelines, and policies to ensure effective dissemination of economic sanctions compliance requirements throughout the Group.

Awareness & Internal Training

  • Develop and deliver training sessions on sanctions and export controls for commercial teams, operational teams, and international subsidiaries.

  • Ability to analyze complex transactions and provide clear, practical, and business-oriented advice.

  • Strong legal rigor, excellent research and synthesis skills, analytical mindset, humility, and strong team spirit.

  • Excellent communication skills with internal stakeholders (commercial, operations, management) and external parties.

  • Experience in an international and multi-industry environment.
