Our company is seeking **a Senior Seismic Characterization Specialist** to join the **Reservoir Characterization team**, bringing at least **15 years** of industry experience in inversion and seismic characterization and technical expertise to drive impactful technical projects, and actively participate in our international technical and commercial presence through publications, peer reviews, audits, and strategic client interactions.

As a Senior Seismic Characterization Consultant, you will play a leading role in integrated project teams, collaborating closely with geophysicists, geologists, and reservoir engineers. You will oversee and execute reservoir detection and property prediction projects from seismic data through advanced seismic inversion and characterization workflows using Beicip-Franlab’s proprietary seismic solution, InterWell.

You will be based at Beicip-Franlab headquarters in France (Paris area) with opportunities to travel abroad.

**Responsibilities**:
Acting as Senior Consultant, you will directly report to the Reservoir Characterization Team Leader. You will be expected to:

- Designing, and conducting quality control of seismic acquisition programs.
- Leading and executing complex seismic inversion projects, from Petro-Elastic modeling, well-to-seismic calibration, to advanced post-stack, pre-stack, multi-component, azimuthal, and 4D seismic inversions, as well as post-stack and pre-stack stochastic inversions.
- Conducting fluid substitution studies and evaluating their impacts on elastic parameters.
- Performing pore pressure prediction studies.
- Providing technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring junior team members within integrated project teams.
- Work actively in an integrated project team (with geophysicists, geologists, and reservoir engineers).
- Managing technical discussions, client interactions, and project presentations, ensuring client satisfaction from data acquisition to results delivery.
- Conducting peer reviews and audits to maintain the highest standards of technical excellence.
- Publishing scientific papers and delivering presentations at conferences and industry forums.
- Supporting technical-commercial activities, including proposal development and client relationship management.

**Nombre d'heures par semaine**: 38
- MSc/PhD or Engineering degree in Geophysics or related disciplines is essential.
- Minimum of 15 years of demonstrable experience in seismic inversion and reservoir characterization within Oil & Gas and/or Energy Transition sectors.
- Proven track record of technical expertise, leadership, and successful project management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Demonstrated international experience and willingness to travel overseas.
- Confident, proactive, and assertive professional capable of providing strategic technical insights to clients.
- Fluent in English mandatory. Fluency or proficiency in French and/or Spanish highly advantageous.
