The Saint Priest (69) industrial site, which employs 700 people and is located in the Technological Park, is recruiting a Trainee in Antibody Characterization.
Position
Tasks and Responsibilities
Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) have emerged as innovative therapeutic solutions for various diseases, including autoimmune disorders, infectious diseases and cancer. While mAbs exert their primary therapeutic effects by binding their Fab region (antigen-binding fragment) to target antigens, they also interact with complement proteins and immune cells via their Fc region (fragment crystallizable). Characterizing these Fc-mediated effector functions is critical for antibody development to ensure safety, describe their mechanism of action, and meet regulatory authority requirements.
- Performing characterization tests on monoclonal antibodies using already established techniques
- Developing novel cell-based or biophysical assays to characterize antibodies
- Optimizing and validating existing protocols to improve characterization processes.Participating in weekly meetings in English with international teams to present your results and share progress.
Requirement
You are currently pursuing a Master’s degree (M2 level) in pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology, biochemistry, immunology or any related field and you are looking for a final year internship.
Prior hands-on experience in cell culture and/or protein biochemistry is appreciated.
Key Skills:
English proficiency: Good command of English at the spoken, written and presentation level.
Software proficiency: Good command of Excel, Word and Power Point (Microsoft Office) Familiarity with GraphPad is a plus.
You are recognized for your curiosity, eagerness to learn and scientific rigor. You possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable with laboratory work. With a solid command of English, you can effectively communicate during presentations and team discussions. Your adaptability and dynamism allow you to thrive in a fast-paced and multicultural environment.
