Founded in 1994, the International School of Monaco (ISM) is an independent, co-educational, not-for-profit day school in Monaco located in the Larvotto area of Monaco at 43 Avenue Princesse Grace. ISM welcomes over 820 students aged 3 to 18 years old, drawn from over 60 nationalities.
Driven by its vision of international education with distinction, ISM's mission is to provide an outstanding education for students so that they are happy, confident, independent, multilingual and responsible global citizens. ISM offers a bilingual education in English and French for students in the Primary School (Kindergarten to Year 6). In the Secondary School (Year 7 to Year 13), the curriculum is taught in English, leading to internationally-recognised academic qualifications.
ISM is an all-through IB World Continuum School, delivering all four International Baccalaureate programmes: the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), IB Diploma Programme (DP) and IB Career-related Programme (CP). ISM also offers the Extended IB CP pathway, which allows high-performing student-athletes to complete the IB CP over a 3-year period instead of a 2-year period as part of ISM's accreditation as an Athlete Friendly Education Centre (AFEC) from the World Academy of Sport.
Languages are an important part of the curriculum, with Spanish, Italian, Russian and German, in addition to French, on offer. Highly qualified teachers and support staff are recruited from around the world.
