**Job Description Summary**: The Critical Infrastructure Communications (CIC) business offers its customers a complete range of innovative products, systems and services allowing robust, efficient, and secure transport of their most critical data. Critical data communications systems are at the core of digital transformation of customer’s assets management in all industrial verticals.

The Telecom solution architect will be responsible for the preparation of proposals/offers, contract negotiation, fulfilment of contractual commitments and business risk assessment on the scope at tendering stage for ERCIS & SSA region.

Our new colleague will be Interfacing with the Operations, Applications, Sales teams of Grid Automation, and across other Grid Solutions businesses.

Préparation de propositions/offres, négociation de contrat et respect des engagements contractuels et évaluation des risques commerciaux Les postes à ce niveau bénéficient d'une certaine autonomie, mais sont soumis à des politiques commerciales ou à une analyse des résultats finaux bien définies. Ce poste est autorisé à modifier les procédures et les pratiques en relation avec les tâches dans la mesure où les résultats finaux répondent aux normes d'acceptabilité (volume annuel, marges, exigences de conformité, etc.).
- Préparer des propositions gagnantes pour des systèmes de télécommunications et offres de service pour les activités de réponse à Appel d’offres dans la région ERCIS & SSA.
- Atteindre les priorités des clients en termes de planning, aspects techniques.

By working closely with Sourcing team, the aim of the job is to optimize the cost of material and services by delivering on the followings:

- Be responsible of creating technical concept during sales phase
- Make sure Tender Due Dates are met
- Be responsible to interface with product manager / R&D in case of new product needed for the bid
- Estimate and optimize the costs (engineering days, hardware,) of the solution
- Define and propose technical answer strategy in accordance with commercial strategy
- Create the technical offer and all the related documents
- Participate at technical presentations, meetings, and negotiation with the client
- Participate at transfer to operations team.
- Ensure support for Sales department with Telecom solutions

**Main responsibilities**:
**Technical Proposals**:

- Technical Analysis of customer needs/RFQ to define and offer the best solution,
- Identify & flag Key Risks and ensure the mitigation plan in Risk & Opportunity register Managing & Implementation of the Return of Experience.
- Follow the Standard tools and practice and provided feedback and suggestions whereas necessary for standardization and improvement of the Tools.
- Timely review and response to technical enquiries/clarifications of bid
- Support the Sales team in technical meetings/negotiations with customers if required.

**Bidding Process**:

- Participating different tender reviews as per guidelines and well ahead to tender submission due dates.
- Conduct Transfer Meeting + hand over relevant documents to operations team as per process guideline in timely manner.

**Costing and Pricing Analysis**:

- Cost optimization & Risk Analysis: Challenge product/solution costs and delivery costs in tenders whereas required.
- Participation in Commercial/ Technical win loss Analysis of Bids whereas required.

**Requirements**:

- Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent
- Engineering and Business knowledge, with experience with telecommunications systems, IP networking, Cybersecurity, MPLS, SDH, PDH, PABX, PLC, TP technologies and network architectures
- Technical expertise to suggest new products / solutions concerning Telecom equipment applied to electrical utilities, power supply, control room arrangement, civil work basics for coordination
- At least 4 years’ experience in a similar role as solutions architect combined with project management
- Knowledge of Electricity Transmission, Distribution & Industrial markets
- Capability to work in team as well as autonomously
- Ability to design and dimension innovative solutions, anticipate new trends and technology changes
- Fluent in English and French.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer focus and ability to cooperate with the different departments
- Ability to organize, prioritize and achieve milestones and deliverables and to create rigorous documents describing the most efficient solution
