**POSITION TITLE**: Human Resources Generalist
**REPORTS TO**: Human Resources Manager
**DIRECT REPORTS**: 0
**LOCATION**: France
**PURPOSE**:
The HR Generalist is a key member of the People team and will be responsible for day-to-day HR-related activities at the local level in support of employees in France. The HR Generalist will independently provide support with a client-service and solutions-oriented approach to continue enhancing the overall employee experience, ensure compliance with French employment laws and partner with business partners to drive engagement.
**FUNCTIONS**:
- Administrative management: drafting of contracts/correspondences.
- Participate in the communication, and administration of HR policies, procedures, and programs,
- Advice and support for employees: accompany, guide and advise employees on all HR-related issues (employment law, collective bargaining agreements, employment contracts, professional development, payroll incidents);
- Maintain the integrity of the HRIS, including, but not limited to, entry of new hires, ongoing employee changes, absences and perform periodic audits on data,
- Implementation of training policy: participate in the analysis of training needs and the preparation of the skills development plan and annual training plan. Ensure logístical organization and administrative management of training initiatives. Optimize the training budget. Prepare and support interview campaigns (individual annual interviews, professional interviews, etc.),
- Assist in the maintaining and creation of employee engagement and philanthropic programs,
- Provide support with job openings, sourcing, background checks, and hiring process,
- Supporting HR managers in managing relations with representative bodies (CSE),
- Support any other special projects as needed (staff representatives elections i.e.).

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required,
- 3 to 5 years’ experience working in Human Resources,
- Bilingual French/English is required,
- Familiarity with HR practices; basic knowledge of legal requirements related to human resources and employee management, social and employment laws a plus,
- Must have a highly service centric mindset and commitment to providing solutions,
- Perform with independence as well as work collaboratively with team and all stakeholders,
- Must be able to perform successfully in a fast-paced service-oriented environment, be able to prioritize situations which require a sense of urgency,
- Capable of juggling and managing various administrative functions through to completion,
- Extremely organized and proactive with a high attention to detail,
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information,
- Strong critical thinking / analytical skills,
- Optimistic, motivated and enthusiastic,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products (Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook),
- HRIS experience required (Bamboo).

**WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Position will require standing, sitting, and walking daily in a standard office environment. Job will involve mínimal travel.
