Within the Infrastructure team in Paris, the successful candidate will support La Caisse's ongoing efforts toward its business objectives by working on transactions and by supporting the post-investment work of La Caisse's assets in Europe. They will also assist the Directors in various research and strategic initiatives.

What you will do

• Participate actively in the analysis of investment opportunities;

• Develop and review detailed financial models and highlight key points of the investment thesis, including performing sensitivity analyses and reviewing financial projections and valuation assumptions;

• Provide advice on valuations of potential investments using the appropriate methodology (discounted cash flows, multiples, etc.);

• Support coordination of in-depth due diligence processes for investment opportunities;

• Lead the drafting of authorization documents for new investment opportunities;

• Assist the main colleagues in negotiations of transaction agreements and shareholding structures;

• Help develop business and strategic plans;

• Proactively monitor financial and operational indicators, as well as financial reports of portfolio companies;

• Contribute to the portfolio's value added by analysing key industry trends in and strategic issues for portfolio companies;

• Prepare internal and external reports on portfolio companies;

• Conduct in-depth research on trends and fundamentals of the covered sector: proactively follow market news and collect information from relevant sources;

• Produce detailed analysis of the infrastructure sector's key challenges and recommend strategies for implementation;

• Produce sectoral studies on potential target markets to be developed;

• Develop effective tools for research and market surveillance.

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics,accounting or engineering;

• Master's degree in finance or engineering (MBA, MSC, etc.), an asset;

• From three (3) to five (5) years of experience in private equity, infrastructure or investment banking;

• Familiarity with sectors within infrastructure (transport, ports, airports, energy, renewables, telecoms, etc.), an asset;

• Excellent abilities in financial analysis and modelling;

• In-depth knowledge of and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint);

• Mastery of French and English, both spoken and written;

• Knowledge of other European languages, an asset.
