Role Overview

We are looking for a
Market Risk Team Leader
to join a major
Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB)
based in Paris. This consulting role sits at the heart of the bank's risk management function, with a strong focus on
quantitative analysis (strong mathematical skills required), and business decision support
.

You will lead a team contributing to the monitoring, assessment, and communication of market risk exposures across multiple asset classes, working closely with senior risk managers, front office, and regulatory stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of market risk professionals, ensuring high-quality analysis and interpretation of market risk metrics (VaR, stress tests, sensitivities, limits, capital measures, FRTB indicators)
  • Provide expert insight to support risk committees, senior management, and business lines in risk-related decision making
  • Ensure consistency, robustness, and transparency of risk methodologies and results
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders (Front Office, Finance, Model Validation, Compliance) and external regulators
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives related to market risk framework evolution and regulatory change

Required Profile

  • Strong academic background in
    Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Economics, or Engineering
  • Confirmed experience in
    Market Risk
    within a CIB or similar financial institution
  • Solid quantitative expertise enabling critical review and interpretation of risk measures
  • Working knowledge of
    Python
    as a tool for analysis and investigation
  • Proven
    leadership or coordination experience
    , with the ability to guide teams and interact with senior stakeholders
  • Strong communication and synthesis skills, with a clear business mindset

Preferred Experience

  • Coverage of multiple asset classes (Rates, FX, Credit, Equities, Commodities)
  • Great understanding of derivatives (Vanilla + Exotic), their associated sensitivities and hedging challenges
  • Experience in consulting or project-driven environments
