Director – Rates Derivatives / Swaps Sales
Global Investment Bank | Paris
A global investment bank is seeking a Director level Fixed Income Sales professional to join their Paris team. The focus will be on Rates Derivatives / Swaps with responsibility for covering French clients across France and French speaking EU. The role carries a clear mandate to build and scale the rates derivatives and swaps business, driving flow and revenues across core European rates products.
Role Overview
Based in Paris the role sits within the European Fixed Income franchise and reports locally to the head of European Sales. The successful candidate will focus on developing derivatives and swaps activity with French institutional clients, working closely with trading, structuring, and risk teams to expand client penetration and wallet share across France and the broader Franelux region.
Key Responsibilities
- Origination and distribution of rates derivatives and swaps, including IRS, OIS, inflation swaps, swaptions, and structured rates solutions
- Primary coverage of French institutional clients across France and Franelux, including asset managers, insurers, pension funds, banks, and selected hedge funds
- Ownership of client P&L with explicit responsibility for revenue growth and derivatives penetration
- Development of new client relationships alongside expansion of existing French accounts
- Close collaboration with Paris based and regional rates trading, structuring, and XVA teams
- Contribution to the ongoing build out of the Paris rates derivatives franchise
Required Experience
- Significant experience in Rates Derivatives / Swaps Sales within a global investment bank
- Demonstrable track record of building swaps and derivatives flow with French or regional clients
- Strong technical understanding of European rates markets and hedging solutions
- Commercial, client-driven mindset with credibility at senior buy-side and treasury level
- Ability to operate effectively in a senior, revenue accountable role

- Director level, or a strong VP ready to step up
- Portable French client relationships or clear evidence of the ability to materially grow wallet share
- Entrepreneurial mindset suited to a build-out mandate
