The Opportunity

We're expanding our Legal Department and looking for a Senior Legal Counsel who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative and high-performing legal team that supports a wide range of international mandates.

What your day will look like

As Senior Legal Counsel, you'll work across multiple legal domains, including: 

  • Contract Negotiation & Drafting: Handle a variety of agreements, including commercial contracts, lease agreements, and supplier arrangements. 
  • Employment Law: Advise and support the Human Resources team on employment contracts, workplace policies, and dispute resolution. 
  • Dispute Management: Coordinate with external counsel on litigation and other dispute matters. 
  • Corporate Governance & Compliance: Ensure Genetec and its subsidiaries meet legal and regulatory requirements in Canada and internationally. 
  • Strategic Legal Advice: Provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance across departments. 

Requirements

Qualifications 

  • Member in good standing with the French Bar
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in business/commercial law and/or employment law. 
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English (spoken and written). 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities

Even better if you have these assets

  • Experience with software and cloud technologies. 
  • Familiarity with international legal frameworks and corporate governance. 
  • A proactive mindset and a passion for innovation.
