european economics, founded in 2009, is a consulting firm dedicated to securing State aid and European funding for strategic projects across Europe. european economics is looking for a newly graduate PhD in economics (graduation in 2025 / 2026) to reinforce its team:
- PhD in industrial economics | PhD in competition economics
- Minors in energy | climate | environment | innovation
- Other profiles will not be selected
The ideal candidate is motivated to work as a consultant in a dynamic, agile, and flexible company with a team of 10 employees.
The consultant will be preparing notification files for the European Commission (DG Competition) on behalf of global companies from various sectors (energy, automotive, aeronautics, railway, chemical, health, biotech, cloud, microelectronics…). He / she will be closely working with european economics' clients, the European Commission, ministries and funding agencies.
The files are prepared in English. We are expecting excellent writing skills and excellent financial skills (working on business plans).
The ideal candidate:
- is fluent in English (mandatory); French is appreciated
- has high interest in business and in applying economic theory to real cases
- likes challenges & continuous learning
- is autonomous and proactive and likes to be called upon
- is able to manage several missions at the same time
