About the role

At Bitstack, we believe that great product & design are key to win in a competitive market.

Since we operate without product managers, you'll have the opportunity to lead projects end-to-end, from discovery to delivery, working side by side with engineers. You'll own the vision, the craft, and the impact.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, care, and compliance to deliver impactful projects

  • Lead end-to-end design initiatives, from idea to polished delivery, and taking ownership for achieving their wins

  • Create mockups, prototypes, and high-quality visuals with exceptional attention to detail

  • Use and improve our lightweight design system components

  • Communicate design decisions with clarity, inviting feedback while holding a strong vision

  • Contribute to set the bar for design quality and the culture for how design works at Bitstack

What we're looking for

  • Proven track record of designing high-quality products at scale

  • A portfolio featuring exceptional craft, taste, and problem solving

  • Strong command of visual design, UI patterns, and interaction principles

  • Experience with prototyping in Figma (and beyond with tools like AI)

  • Ability to lead projects independently — from discovery to shipping

  • Pragmatic mindset: you balance design quality with speed, business goals, and technical constraints

  • Clear communicator who can distill feedback and articulate design decisions

Nice to have

  • Experience working in high performing, fast-paced start-up environment

  • Experience designing and maintaining design systems

  • Skills in motion design, micro-interactions, or brand design

  • You are a designer who can code (Perhaps with a little help from AI)

Interview Process

  1. Introductory Call (30 min)
    A first conversation with Hugo (Product Design Lead) and Tom (People Lead) to get to know you and share more about the role.

  2. Showcase Your Work
    Instead of a traditional case study, we'll ask you to record a short Loom-type video where you walk us through some of your best work.

  3. Task Review & Experience Discussion (60 min)
    After you submit your Loom, we'll spend an hour together reviewing your work and diving deeper into your experience and design approach.

  4. Founders Round (30 min)
    A conversation with our founders to align on values, ways of working, and what it's like to build at Bitstack.
