M&A analyst

As part of its ambitious growth strategy, Devoteam actively pursues bolt-on M&A acquisitions alongside organic growth. To support this strategy, Devoteam is looking for an AI-driven M&A intern who is eager to apply AI technologies to real-world business and transaction processes.

What can you expect? 

This internship offers a unique opportunity to join the M&A team of an international group and contribute to the evolution of its corporate development processes through the thoughtful use of AI. 

You will work at the intersection of M&A, strategy and technology, gaining hands-on exposure to how modern tools - including generative AI - can support and enhance traditional M&A activities such as target screening, market analysis and transaction execution.

You will: 

• Work closely with executive leadership and the M&A team of one of Europe's leading digital transformation firms 
• Gain practical exposure to the full M&A lifecycle, from strategy and target identification to deal execution 
• Learn how AI tools (including Google Gemini and other Gen AI solutions) can support analysis, documentation and decision-making in M&A
• Contribute to strategic decisions in a private-equity backed, fast-growing, international environment
• Develop a strong understanding of companies, markets, and transactions in the Cloud, Data, AI and Cybersecurity ecosystem 

Your role & responsibilities

We will count on you to: 

AI-driven M&A process innovation

• Support the M&A team in improving and structuring workflows using AI tools to enhance efficiency in areas such as target screening, market research and deal documentation
• Help design and refine AI prompts and analyses for company profiling, competitive landscapes, financial summaries and investment rationales
• Use generative AI tools (e.g. Gemini) to support NDA drafting, negotiation preparation, and one-pager creation for internal and external stakeholders 

M&A and strategic support

• Identify and analyze potential acquisition targets aligned with Devoteam's 4-year strategic plan
• Gather, structure and synthesize qualitative and quantitative information on companies, markets and technologies
• Support the execution of M&A transactions, including valuation analysis, LOI preparation, due diligence coordination and negotiations 
• Collaborate with internal business leaders and external advisors (banks, consultants, legal firms)

What makes you stand out: 

We are looking for a motivated M&A / business student with a strong interest in AI as a tool to improve analysis and decision-making, combined with genuine curiosity for strategy, finance and deal-making

• For us the ideal candidate would have the following skills: 

  • Strong analytical and structuring skills, with an interest in process improvement and automation

  • Clear interest in M&A, corporate strategy, and technology-driven businesses

  • Curious and proven hands-on mindset: eager to test tools, learn quickly and improve ways of working 

  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with diverse stakeholders

  • Fluent in English and French (additional European languages are a plus)

• Nice to have (not mandatory):  

  • First exposure to M&A, corporate finance or consulting

  • First experience using generative AI tools for research, analysis or productivity
