The Instructional Designer (ID) at TransPerfect Learning is part of the eLearning Design Team, composed of Instructional and UI/UX designers, who work collaboratively on creating and delivering bespoke learning solutions for global companies. The eLearning Design Team is part of the Learning department which also includes project managers, eLearning developers, and solutions architects.

This role is for you if you have a team spirit, if you are happy when you can think creatively, and if you have a talent for designing learning experiences for humans.

This posting is for a bilingual French/English speaker only, with a minimum of C1 level for both languages. This is an on-site position.   

Responsibilities:

· Analyze learning needs to be able to effectively determine learning solutions that address knowledge and/or performance gaps in the target market

· Author high-level design proposals, content outlines and job aids, to ensure fit for purpose learning needs to determine effective learning solutions that address knowledge and/or performance gaps in the target

· Develop storyboards with detailed instructions for the development team using various authoring tools (mainly Articulate Storyline, Rise and ADAPT)

· Promote collaboration, partnership and relationships among the participants and stakeholders (including clients) in a learning design project

· Oversee project consistency during learning solution analysis, design, and development

· Apply advanced adult learning theories into practical, application-based learning strategy

· Communicate effectively in visual, oral, and written form to deliver engaging presentations to business leaders

· Design learning that reflects an understanding of the diversity of learners, including the demonstrated understanding of cultural differences that may apply

· Support team of freelance instructional designers (both English and French speakers)


Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

· Knowledge of adult learning principles and notions of visual design principles

· Experience working in an agile (SAM) and waterfall (ADDIE) design environment

· Experience designing, developing, and delivering emerging learning solutions including game-based learning, video, micro-learning, simulations, and immersive scenarios requiring multiple branching elements strongly preferred

· Proficiency with industry standard design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate 360 and ADAPT) desired

· Organization (ability to deliver projects on time, ability to estimate efforts for upcoming projects, appreciated experience with productivity tools)

· Capable and comfortable working independently and with a team

· Excellent (C1 CEFR level) communication skills in both English and French

· Inquisitive personality driven by curiosity and the desire to learn and share knowledge

· Portfolio of work

Qualifications:

· BS or MA degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology or equivalent work experience.
