Are you ready to play a key role in industrial performance and lead ambitious projects? We are looking for a Production Unit Manager to support the transformation and operational excellence of our site, known for its expertise and commitment to quality.

Your mission:

You will oversee all activities within your production unit to achieve SQCDME standards (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Motivation, Environment) in line with site objectives. You will ensure the optimization of productivity and costs while maintaining strict compliance with procedures and guaranteeing the safety of your teams.

The Production Unit Manager is responsible for positioning their unit according to the site's SQCDME standards, in alignment with objectives, the production plan, and defined specifications.

Special attention will be given to the following missions:

  • Develop a strong safety culture within the production unit.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and initiative.
  • Ensure compliance with food GMPs.
  • Maintain a positive social climate, and oversee training and development of team members.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Manage and unite a multidisciplinary team (3 workshop managers, 6 production lines, 90 people in total); develop skills and support employee advancement.
  • Promote safety culture: guarantee risk prevention, lead safety routines, monitor action plans, and contribute to certifications (ISO45001, etc.).
  • Track and manage performance indicators, implement continuous improvement plans, and optimize teams and production tools.
  • Ensure production targets are met: guarantee on-time, high-quality, compliant deliveries.
  • Oversee the unit's budget (operations, investments), analyze results, and lead productivity and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Drive and support transformation projects: equipment modernization, new products, process evolution, activity relocation, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and environmental standards (HACCP, IFS, BRC, etc.); participate in continuous improvement and both internal and external audits.
  • Maintain a positive social climate: ensure effective communication, support team cohesion and talent management, conduct annual reviews and create training plans aligned with activity needs.

Profile sought:

  • Engineering degree (generalist or food science) with 5 to 10 years' experience in a similar role within an industrial environment, ideally in food or FMCG.
  • Proven team management experience.
  • Proficiency in team management and continuous improvement tools (Lean, 5S, Kaizen, etc.).
  • Strong abilities in budget oversight, analysis, synthesis, and familiarity with production data.
  • Leadership, responsibility, rigor, and ability to anticipate.
  • Good operational command of English.
