Global Purchasing Division
, driving international sourcing and procurement excellence as
Electronic Components Purchasing Manager.

What You Will Contribute To

The Electronic Components Purchasing Manager will be responsible of activities on PCBA components scope which are assembled by our EMS partners including components technical evaluation, price negotiation, sourcing and supplier management including PCN (Part Change Notification) and EOL (End of Life).

He will work with Quality, R&D, Industrial, supply Departments and EMS commodity Manager.

This position has started in our organization with target of developing it.

Below Are The Mains Missions Of The Role

  • Analyze the complete PCBA BOM
  • Identification of opportunities (alternative/ negotiation…)
  • Manage risks (PCN/ EOL…) on the scope
  • Develop, lead and execute pre-sourcing strategy for electronic components
  • Preselect potential new suppliers and manage direct supplier relationships
  • Support suppliers in process Audits
  • Lead project management of the activities which involve stake holders (cost optimization/ PCN EOL)
  • Pre-validate technical components (Final components validation remains under R&D Responsibility)
  • Define and follow-up of critical components list (Technic and Purchase (Capacity / Lead Time))
  • Support the tracking and update on the critical component list in our ERP
  • Propose a cost saving action plan and follow-up
  • Deal with Components manufacturers and distributor channel at group Level (Pricing in France / Germany)
  • Provide Support to Quality Department, R&D and Industrial Department
  • Work on serial life with support from times to time to R&D and identification of alternatives components (price, availability, capacity)

What You Will Need To Be Successful

  • Engineering Degree in Electronics or has worked as Electronics Engineer previously
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in electronics purchasing with sourcing expertise
  • Demonstrated supplier's management
  • Have project management skills
  • Team player with strong inter-personal communication
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English and German will be appreciated
