Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineerto support our Data Center Network operations in Paris, France. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, network provisioning, troubleshooting methodologies, and hardware maintenance. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and optimize rack and server layouts.
Monitor capacity utilization and forecast growth requirements to ensure scalability.
Provision, configure, and deploy server, network, and infrastructure equipment across staging and production environments.
Ensure installations meet specifications and industry standards.
Track and troubleshoot data center hardware issues to reduce downtime.
Manage RMA processes with vendors to replace faulty components.
Implement and enforce data center best practices for security and operational efficiency.
Stay updated with industry trends and new technologies to enhance workflows.
Handle large volumes of packages containing sensitive hard drives.
Maintain accurate inventory records ensuring availability and data security.
Demonstrate proficiency in Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Perform hardware maintenance including drive replacements and troubleshooting.
Conduct networking maintenance and complete server installations from unboxing to rack mounting.
Configure IP addresses, RAID setups, and ensure proper network connectivity.
Maintain strong understanding of computer, network, and server terminology.
Continuously update technical knowledge through training, certifications, and industry research.
Manage incoming orders and support tickets efficiently.
Maintain detailed documentation and update terminology as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Proven experience in network engineering, preferably in a data center environment.
Strong understanding of networking protocols, hardware components, and server infrastructure.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Certifications such as CCNAor equivalent are a plus.
Fluency in French and Englishis preferred.
