Technical Design Authority (TDA) – Next-Generation Network Infrastructure (PoC)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Design Authority (TDA) to lead and execute a comprehensive Proof of Concept (PoC) for a next-generation enterprise network infrastructure. The TDA will be responsible for designing, validating, and documenting the technical implementation of LAN, Wi-Fi, automation, security, and monitoring capabilities across a multivendor environment.

Key Responsibilities

PoC Execution & Leadership

• Lead the end-to-end execution of PoC phases: LAN, Wi-Fi, Automation, Security, and Monitoring.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams and vendor partners to ensure all test scenarios are executed as per the agreed plan.
• Validate programmability, dynamic segmentation, seamless roaming, and AI/ML capabilities within the network design.

Design & Documentation

• Develop and maintain high-level (HLD) and low-level (LLD) design documents.
• Ensure designs are aligned with enterprise architecture and security standards.
• Document all test results, deviations, observations, and final recommendations for improvement.

Multivendor Integration

• Configure and test Cisco ISE and Aruba ClearPass for Network Access Control (NAC) and device profiling.
• Validate interoperability between Cisco and Aruba WLAN controllers and access points (APs).

Automation & Scripting

• Develop and execute Ansible playbooks and Python scripts to support build and run automation.
• Implement Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) and microsegmentation policies using RESTful APIs.

Security & Compliance

• Validate 802.1X authentication, EAP-TLS, rogue AP detection, and enforcement policies.
• Test VRF macro-segmentation and SDA microsegmentation transitions for secure network isolation.

Monitoring & Management

• Integrate the solution with SIEM platforms such as Splunk or ELK.
• Demonstrate end-to-end visibility, system backup/restore, and API-driven management integrations.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

• Deep understanding of enterprise LAN/Wi-Fi architectures and network design principles.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Aruba networking platforms.
• Strong knowledge of 802.1X, EAP-TLS, NAC, VLANs, SGTs, and VRFs.

Automation & APIs

• Proficiency in Ansible, Python scripting, and RESTful API integrations.
• Experience with network automation, infrastructure as code, and ZTP workflows.

Security & Monitoring

• Familiarity with SIEM tools (Splunk, ELK), PKI environments, and posture-based access control.
• Proven experience implementing and validating enterprise network security policies.

Tools & Platforms

• Experience with iperf3, DHCP/NTP servers, and network management platforms.
• Familiarity with AI/ML-based network analytics and automated troubleshooting frameworks.

Soft Skills

• Excellent documentation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

Desirable Qualifications

• Cisco CCNP/CCIE or Aruba Certified Expert (ACE).
• Experience with Wi-Fi 6/6E/7 and Multi-Link Operation (MLO) testing.
• Exposure to Software Defined Access (SDA) fabric and VXLAN overlays.

• Verified PoC test results and detailed technical reports.
• Comprehensive technical design documentation (HLD/LLD).
• Automation scripts and playbooks for deployment and operations.
• Recommendations for enterprise production rollout.
