Result of Service

The Consultant's ultimate result of services will be to support the search and generation of information, analyses of compatibility and data processing of projections in order to evaluate its incorporation to the National Greenhouse Gas Inventory Information System, the Second Biennial Transparency Report and medium- and long-term emission trajectories. Deliverables/outputs MARCH 2026:- Deliverable 1: A Technical Progress Report containing:

  • A comprehensive and detailed workplan indicating expected activities and timeframes. MAY 2026:- Deliverable 2: A Progress report a review of LTS approaches and components & a review of the latest NDC as input for the developing long-term scenarios, containing:
  • Results of the review of regional and international cases of Long-Term Strategies (LTS), analyzing approaches and components.
  • Assessment of information generated for the preparation of the NDC 3.0 in order to identify available information for long-term scenarios. AUGUST 2026:- Deliverable 3: A report containing a review of the latest NDC as input for developing long-term scenarios. This report will include the assessment of the information for possible trajectories of emissions regarding with and without measures scenarios according to the MPGs. OCTOBER 2026:- Deliverable 4: A report on the technical support provided to the Undersecretariat of the Environment to define relevant mitigation measures and projections to be included in the BTR2, containing:
  • A report assessing mitigation measures, its relevance and potential to reduce emissions, and prioritization in order to be consider for developing scenarios of emissions with or without measures.
  • Initial proposal for medium- and long-term emissions models.
  • Validation process with key GNCC stakeholders.
  • Development of the final model for key sectors based on the processes in which we participated.
  • Recommendations for improving the national inventory and key issues such as climate action at the subnational level, private sector participation, and the evolution of carbon markets.
  • Document detailing the proposed scenarios. DECEMBER 2026:- Deliverable 5: A report on the technical support provided to the Undersecretariat of the Environment in developing the content linked to the section on scenario projections with and without measures for BTR2, containing:
  • A report that contains the proposal of relevant content related to projections to be included in BTR2.
