Internship - Internal Control, Ethics & Compliance

YOUR ROLE 

We are looking for an intern in Internal Control, Ethics & Compliance, starting in March/April/June 2026 for a period of 6 months. 

Within the Ethics & Compliance Department of the CMA CGM Group, this internship will offer practical experience in implementing and monitoring internal controls (excluding financial controls) applied to compliance issues: anti-corruption (primarily), international sanctions, personal data protection, etc. 

Working alongside the Internal Compliance Controller, the intern will participate in structuring, implementing and monitoring controls designed to assess the effectiveness of compliance systems. This internship is an opportunity to acquire practical skills in internal control and compliance in an international environment. 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ? 

• Contribute to the development and updating of internal control methodology applicable to Ethics and Compliance activities. 
• Participate in the preparation and execution of second-level controls on various Compliance processes (e.g. gifts & invitations, conflicts of interest, third-party assessment, personal data). 
• Assist in formalising corrective actions following controls and contribute to monitoring their implementation. 
• Participate in launching and steering the self-assessment campaign within Group entities. 
• Participate in analysing control results, drafting summaries and preparing reports for the Ethics and Compliance Department. 
• Contribute to the adaptation and continuous improvement of control tools and materials (monitoring tables, checklists, report templates, etc.). 
• Provide cross-functional support on issues related to compliance and adherence to the organisation's ethical rules. 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ? 

• Master's student in one of the following fields: law (business, compliance, international), control/audit/risk management, business school with specialisation in compliance, internal audit or risk management. 
• Strong interest in ethics, compliance, risk prevention and internal control.
• Fluency in English and French, both spoken and written (working language). An additional language is a plus.  
• Proficiency in Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Proficiency in PowerBI or Qliksense (or other data visualisation tools) is a plus.  
• Sense of integrity, rigour, organisation, discretion and confidentiality. 
• Good writing skills and structured thinking. 
• Good interpersonal skills, curiosity and team spirit.
