Job Description:
This is a Profee Surgical Coding role supporting a high-volume, multispecialty surgical environment. The coder will complete a full onsite training period before transitioning into a hybrid schedule. The client is expanding their provider group, and this role is essential to supporting ongoing growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate Profee surgical coding across multiple specialties
  • Code chart types such as orthopedics, joint replacements, trauma, urology, general surgery, endocrine procedures, colonoscopies, podiatry, hand surgeries, plastics, TED procedures, pain management, anesthesia, cardiology, and pre-op care
  • Assist with trauma/ED hand cases, denials support, and global period care
  • Maintain strong communication with a close-knit team through Teams
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities and shifting workloads

Qualifications:

  • Certification through AAPC or AHIMA (Required)
  • Profee surgical coding experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to work onsite for full training period (approx. 30 days)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team culture

Additional Details:

  • Type: Contract-to-hire
  • Schedule:

  • Standard: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM onsite

  • Alternate option: 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM (remote + Fridays WFH)

  • Hybrid Policy: After training, onsite 1–2 times/month depending on performance

  • Systems: TruBridge (EMR)
  • Equipment: Client-provided computer equipment
  • State Requirement: Must be able to be onsite in Wickenburg, AZ
