About Our Client:
Our client is a well-established urology group that has been serving patients in the greater Houston area for nearly two decades. With multiple clinic sites and a large team of experienced providers, they offer full-spectrum urologic care for both common and complex conditions. Their clinicians bring specialized expertise in areas such as minimally invasive procedures, urinary and pelvic health, prostate conditions, and male reproductive concerns. The organization also provides access to on-site diagnostic services and advanced treatment options for conditions including kidney stones, incontinence, erectile dysfunction, UTIs, prostate issues, and more.

Job Description:
This is a contract Urology Coding position supporting surgical and outpatient encounters, including backlog and holiday coverage. Coders will work onsite in a hybrid capacity and handle ASC, OP hospital charges, and injection/infusion procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for proper reimbursement and data reporting
• Review and code Urology charts from physician operative notes
• Code surgical cases for ASC, Inj/Inf, and outpatient hospital encounters
• Apply appropriate modifiers and procedure-specific coding guidelines
• Meet productivity expectations of ~7 encounters/hour and maintain 95% accuracy

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of general coding experience (Urology experience preferred)
• CPC certification required (CPC-As welcome)
• Experience with Athena is a plus
• Strong knowledge of modifiers and procedure-specific coding
