About our client
We are working for a well-established private equity platform focused on investing in consumer businesses across Europe including FMCGs, Hospitality, and Consumer Technology.

They invest in growth to buyout opportunities by deploying tickets up to €200Mio. The firm is a differentiated investor which has built a concentrated and high performing portfolio for over a decade. Taking long term views thanks to a unique structure, their model allows them to act as genuine operators able to capture full value creation opportunities by establishing the time horizon of each investment as a function of the underlying asset and investment thesis.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a shared a passion for driving sustainable growth in consumer businesses. The role requires M&A transaction experience in this sector, preferably in Consumer.

The role is based in Paris as part of a central hub to focus on investment and portfolio expansion across Europe. Fluency in French is not required for this role, just a willingness & commitment to be based in Paris.

What the job involves

  • The investment Associate will play a critical role in the end-to-end investment process, including sourcing, evaluating, executing, and managing investments
  • You will work closely with senior team members and portfolio company management teams, supporting the firm's mission to create long-term value
  • Conduct financial modelling, valuation and returns analysis (DCF, LBO, precedent transactions, comparables)
  • Support due diligence processes, including commercial, financial, operational, and legal workstreams
  • Prepare investment memoranda and materials for investment committee approval
  • Monitor the performance of portfolio companies through regular reporting and analysis
  • Collaborate with management teams on strategic initiatives, value creation plans and bolt-on acquisitions

Who we are looking for

  • Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and high degree of integrity
  • Experience in investment banking M&A ideally with an exposure to the consumer sector (FMCG, retail, hospitality, consumer tech)
  • Strong analytical and excel modelling skills
  • Passion for consumer businesses and a deep understanding of market dynamics in the sector
  • Excellent project management and communication skills
  • High level of spoken and written fluency in English and another European language is an advantage
