About The Role
The Tax Analyst is an integral part of Latham's Global Tax team. This role will be responsible for serving as a tax specialist for the firm in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia with regard to preparing income tax return schedules, ensuring tax compliance, developing tax procedures, and conducting tax research projects, while liaising with local and global accounting teams, analysing accounting and financial information, and preparing tax schedules for the firm's partnership tax returns, branch and corporate income tax returns, indirect tax returns, and other tax compliance requirements in the Europe, the Middle East, and Asia region. This role will be located in our Paris office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating the process of preparing and providing information to external tax advisers/accountants with respect to the preparation of tax filings in the Europe, the Middle East, and Asia region
• Reviewing and reconciling applicable accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports, and performing quality assurance procedures
• Assisting with general tax administration, such as handling and tracking tax payments/notices and preparing reconciliations
• Assisting in preparing cash flow estimates and income and tax estimates for the partners
• Working with the Tax Manager and Director of Tax to identify and complete projects on various issues when needed

We'd love to hear from you if you:

• Possess excellent organisational and follow-through skills, performing work accurately with strong attention to detail
• Demonstrate proficiency in preparing reconciliations, identifying variances, and presenting explanations and applicable resolutions
• Exhibit a good understanding of accounting concepts and knowledge of tax rules

And have:

• Experience in general accounting concepts and/or partnership/corporate tax accounting
• Related experience in a multi-office professional services organisation, preferably
• Relevant experience with European, Middle Eastern, and Asian countries' compliance, preparing partnership tax returns, and corporate tax returns, preferably
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a Tax Law-related discipline, preferably
