About UIC

UIC (International Union of Railways) is a global organisation dedicated to promoting rail transport and supporting the collaborative development of the railway system worldwide.

With nearly
200 members across 5 continents,
including railway operators, infrastructure managers and service providers, UIC works closely with manufacturers, public authorities and international stakeholders to advance sustainable, innovative and interoperable rail solutions.

Your mission

As part of a
dynamic Communications team of 5 people
, reporting
N-2
to the Communications Director, you will contribute to the creation, coordination and dissemination of UIC's external communication activities.

You will work at the crossroads of
content creation, digital communication, events and media relations
, supporting UIC's global, regional and technical activities.

Key responsibilities

Create and draft impactful communication content aligned with UIC's brand identity and communication guidelines

Review and support external communication messages across departments

Support the organisation of
online and in-person events
(banners, webpages, registrations, mailings, LinkedIn promotion, press releases, etc.)

Contribute to
media partner relations

Draft and publish articles for UIC member communications

Support departments in amplifying their activities on social media

Working style

You will enjoy
real autonomy in your tasks
, while working in close coordination with the Communications Director and the communications team to ensure continuity and quality of outputs.

Your profile

Master's level student in Communication, Media, Marketing, Political Sciences or related field


Professional working proficiency in English

First experience in drafting communication materials

Comfortable working both
independently and in a team

Strong listening skills and openness to constructive feedback

Good sense of responsibility and organisation

Technical skills

  • Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Mass-mailing & marketing tools
  • Web marketing basics
  • Graphic design tools (Canva)
  • Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint)

You are adaptable, proactive, and motivated to work in a
fast-paced, multicultural environment
