The Opportunity

Join 3d.FAB, a leading French biofabrication laboratory and take part in an ambitious research program co-led with Sartorius Corporate Research. The associated Research program framework aim to develop Large-scale Innovative Fabrication of in vitro engineered Tissues (LIFT).

Your mission:

Develop scalable bioproduction workflows combining 3D cell encapsulation (bioprinting) and bioreactor culture to produce primary cells and cell spheroids/organoids for next-generation tissue engineering.

You'll work at the interface of academia and industry, driving innovation and technology transfer in bioprocess engineering for regenerative medicine.

Your Role

  • Design, optimize, and scale bioreactor-based bioproduction in various types of bioreactor
  • Qualify biofabrication/bioproduction processes and develop dedicated analytical tools for cell and organoids quality assessments (Raman, incucyte)
  • Technology transfer and process scale-up in Sartorius's corporate research facilities
  • Disseminate findings through publications, patents, and conferences
  • Contribute to project coordination and mentoring activities

Your Profile

  • PhD in Bioprocess Engineering, Bioengineering, Cell Biology, or related field
  • Mandatory hands-on experience with bioreactors
  • Hands-on/know-how of cell aggregates/organoids, or encapsulation systems, inkjet-based printing, primary / iPSC cells is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary, collaborative environment

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Contract length: 18 months

Pay: Up to 34,750.00€ per year
