Enterprise SOA Architect

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a professional Enterprise SOA Architect to join our UniQue Strasbourg team.

What will you be bringing to the team?

• Design the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) tier;
• Participate in design sessions with project staff as required;
• Build business processes to support orchestration of web services;
• Participate in team reviews of design artifacts and code, make changes as required, and recommend alternative solutions where appropriate;
• Design and participate (contribute to the drafting of use cases) in the new development of systems, enhancement of existing systems, or 3rd party products;
• Work with technical and functional teams to ensure effective delivery of systems;
• Use software development methodologies and standards as defined by organization to effectively design systems;
• Work with technical teams within group as well as outside group to ensure effective delivery;
• Follow established processes for configuration and release management to ensure that all project artifacts are managed, integrated, and versioned according to standards.

Requirements

What do you need to succeed in this position?

• Minimum four years of relevant higher education (Master's degree or equivalent) after secondary school, plus at least 9 years of IT professional experience, including three years in SOA platform architecture and development.
• Certified Architect (Open Group or equivalent) is strongly recommended.
• Proven ability to analyze technical requirements and design appropriate architectural solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with Linux, UNIX, or AIX enterprise environments.
• Deep understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and middleware technologies, with demonstrated experience in designing SOA tiers.
• Strong command of service design best practices, performance monitoring and tuning, and interface specification.
• Solid object-oriented design skills, applying open architecture standards and best practices with technologies such as BPEL, UML, WSDL, JDBC, SQL, XML/XSL, SOAP, and Web Services.
• Extensive experience designing and developing Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), SOA, and Integration Tier Architectures (including BPEL, Business Process Orchestration, Web Services, and J2EE).
• Knowledge of SOA design patterns for middleware systems, including message routing, content enrichment, filtering, transformation, guaranteed delivery, sequencing, batch processing, and error handling.
• Sound understanding of security, logging, auditing, policy management, and performance monitoring (KPI) for end-to-end processes.
• Proven experience in implementing enterprise architecture standards and methodologies.
• Good understanding of network and system architecture.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud-based, containerized platforms.
• Experience working within the public sector (international or national level) is an asset.
• Broad technological background, not limited to Java, with a comprehensive understanding of diverse IT environments.
• Project management skills are essential; certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are highly valued.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, as the organization is progressively adopting an Agile approach.
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
