Job Summary:
We are seeking a Financial Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting and strategic financial planning. You will join a European Controlling team reporting about 8 entities (IFRS) based in France, the Netherlands, and Germany. Collaborating with all departments to create comprehensive budgets, forecasts, and financial models, you support executive decision-making through insightful financial analysis and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

  • Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and business plans
  • Conduct variance analysis and identify key performance drivers
  • Support business units, provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance
  • Oversee cost control initiatives and identify efficiency opportunities

Reporting & Compliance of financial statements

  • Ensure accuracy for monthly and annual financial reporting in accordance with IFRS/GAAP
  • Present financial reports to the management team and stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls and financial procedures
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and statutory requirements
  • Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors

Business Partnering

  • Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership and operational teams
  • Provide financial guidance for investment decisions, pricing strategies, and business cases
  • Develop and track KPIs to measure efficiency, profitability, and growth
  • Drive cost optimization and resource allocation strategies
  • Support M&A activities, due diligence, and integration processes if applicable
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team

Key Requirements:

Hard Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of accounting and business concepts
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw actionable conclusions.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP would be much appreciated) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Soft Skills:

  • Team player with a strong collaborative mindset
  • Strong business acumen, customer orientation and strategic mindset.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Effective communication skills to interact with a variety of stakeholders

Language Skills:

  • Fluent English (written and verbal)
  • French or German would be a plus

Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant),
  • Minimum 5 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience

Location:

Your work location will preferably be Paris, with no specific restriction amongst other EPEX offices locations and an attractive hybrid work policy.
