SIRIUS Space Services is developing a new generation of micro-launchers designed to provide agile, affordable and more sustainable access to orbit for small satellites.
About the Internship
We are looking for an Engineer Intern to join our Mission Analysis & Flight Safety team.
You will contribute to the development of methods and tools that support the safety assessment of our launch missions - from trajectory dispersion modeling to risk analysis and documentation for regulatory approval.
During this internship, you will:
- Develop and improve internal tools for Flight Safety Analysis (Python or MATLAB).
- Implement and validate methodologies to compute risk-to-population, impact probabilities, and debris dispersion.
- Perform simulations and sensitivity analyses for nominal and off-nominal flight scenarios.
- Support the preparation of flight safety documentation required for launch.
- Contribute to the automation of data processing and visualization workflows.
- Collaborate with Mission Analysis, GNC, and RAMS engineers to integrate flight safety considerations across all stages of the mission.
Profile
We are seeking a motivated and rigorous engineering student passionate about spaceflight safety and launch systems.
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
- Solid understanding of flight dynamics, trajectory propagation, or risk analysis.
- Strong programming skills in Python or Matlab
- Familiarity with Monte Carlo methods, statistical analysis, or probabilistic modeling.
- Ability to work independently and communicate technical results clearly.
- Fluency in English
