Role:

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Commodity Manager to join our client and lead sourcing and supplier management activities across their automotive aftermarket product portfolio. The successful candidate will own supplier relationships, negotiate commercial agreements, and ensure cost, quality, and delivery targets are consistently achieved. This role requires strong procurement capability, excellent commercial judgement, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute commodity strategies to support business objectives in the automotive aftermarket.
  • Source, select, and manage suppliers to ensure optimal pricing, quality, lead time, and supply performance.
  • Lead negotiations for commercial terms, contracts, pricing, cost reductions, and long-term agreements.
  • Conduct market intelligence activities to identify new suppliers, cost drivers, industry trends, and strategic risks.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Sales, and Aftermarket Operations to ensure product availability and performance.
  • Support lifecycle management of parts and materials, including phase-in and phase-out planning.
  • Track and report key performance indicators such as cost savings, supplier performance, and contract compliance.
  • Maintain strong cross-cultural supplier relationships across European and global supply networks.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 4+ years experience in Commodity Management, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or Buying roles.
  • Automotive aftermarket experience - ideally working with components, parts, systems, or service programs.
  • Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations and cost management.
  • Experience managing international supplier relationships.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and project management skills.
  • Fluent in English and French (both written and spoken).
  • Proficient with procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint.
