Summary Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and highly organized Legal Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative and paralegal support to our Legal team in a fast-paced corporate environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal terminology, processes, and document management while maintaining exceptional organizational and communication skills.
As the Legal Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the Legal department's operations, assisting with contract administration, compliance tracking, and document preparation. You will coordinate communications across departments, help ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, and maintain confidentiality in all matters. This position is ideal for a professional who thrives in dynamic settings, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in enabling the Legal team to focus on high-value strategic initiatives.
Daily Responsibilities:
Manage the Legal team's calendars, including scheduling and coordinating internal and external meetings, hearings, and deadlines
Assist in the preparation, review, and formatting of contracts, NDAs, and other legal documents
Organize, maintain, and update the company's contract management system and legal files in SharePoint
Conduct basic legal research and compile information to support compliance and corporate governance initiatives
Track contract renewals, expirations, and key deliverables to ensure timely follow-up and execution
Draft and edit correspondence, memoranda, and other communications on behalf of the Legal team
Support due diligence efforts, audits, and document collection for regulatory and litigation matters
Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics for Legal leadership when necessary
Serve as the primary point-of-contract between the Legal team and internal/external stakeholders
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the highest degree of professionalism
Check and process mail as well as scan and file documents into SharePoint as needed
Run errands and other administrative tasks as needed
Skills and Education:
Proven experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or Executive Assistant supporting a legal department, General Counsel, or law firm
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and document management systems
Familiarity with contract management platforms, corporate governance practices, and legal document formatting standards
Excellent organizational, research, and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Proactive, resourceful, and adaptable to shifting priorities and deadlines
Bachelor's degree preferred
Paralegal certification or coursework is a plus
Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record
