AVENTA
is searching for a meticulous and experienced
Mechanical Quality Inspector
to ensure the highest standards of quality control and assurance for the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project of the
Ricanto Bioenergy Plant
in Ajaccio, Corsica.

Key Responsibilities
The Mechanical Quality Inspector will report to the Quality Manager and will be responsible for implementing and controlling the quality plan for all mechanical installation activities on site. Duties include:
- Inspection and Testing:
Performing visual and dimensional inspections on mechanical installations, including structural steel erection, piping systems, and the installation of static and rotating equipment, ensuring adherence to ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans). - Documentation Review:
Reviewing and verifying subcontractors' quality documentation, material certificates (MTCs), and ensuring compliance with codes, standards (e.g., ASME, EN), and project specifications. - Non-Conformance Management:
Identifying non-conformities (NCRs) and deficiencies, documenting them accurately, and monitoring the implementation and closure of corrective actions. - Witness Points:
Preparing for and attending hold and witness points as specified in the ITPs, collaborating closely with the client's QA/QC team. - Welding/NDT Coordination:
Collaborating with the Welding Superintendent and NDT team to ensure proper procedures are followed and inspection results are accurately documented. - Handover Packages:
Assisting in the preparation and compilation of the final Quality Dossiers (As-Built and Handover Packages) for mechanical scope of work.
Mandatory Requirements (Must-Have)
To apply for this position, you
must
meet the following requirements:
- EPC Experience:
Minimum of
5 years
of experience as a Mechanical Quality Inspector or QA/QC Engineer within the
EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) sector
, focused on industrial plant construction (e.g., Power, Oil & Gas, Bioenergy). - Citizenship:
Must hold
European citizenship
. - French Language:
Fluent command (spoken and written) of the
French language
. - Technical Skills:
Strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment installation, piping systems, and relevant international codes and standards.
