Paris, Île-de-France Spendesk Temps plein

We're looking for a Lead Product Manager to drive the strategy and execution of an entire product line while leading and developing a team of 3-5 Product Managers. This is a pivotal leadership role that combines hands-on product expertise with people management, strategic stakeholder engagement, and go-to-market ownership.

As a Lead PM at Spendesk, you'll be responsible for setting the vision and roadmap for your product line, ensuring it delivers exceptional value to customers while driving meaningful business impact. You'll work at the intersection of product, engineering, design, finance, sales, and marketing — translating complex market needs into coherent product strategies that your team can execute on.

You'll manage and mentor a team of Product Managers, helping them grow their skills while maintaining a high bar for product excellence. Beyond your team, you'll be the key liaison with executive leadership, enterprise customers, and strategic partners, representing your product line's vision and priorities across the organization.

What You'll Do

Product Line Leadership

  • Define and own the multi-year vision and strategy for your product line, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market opportunities
  • Drive the product line roadmap, balancing innovation, customer needs, technical debt, and business priorities across multiple PMs and squads
  • Establish success metrics and OKRs at the product line level, tracking impact on customer satisfaction, adoption, retention, and revenue
  • Build competitive differentiation by deeply understanding market trends, competitor positioning, and customer needs
  • Partner with Marketing to develop positioning, messaging, and launch strategies for major product releases
  • Work closely with Sales leadership to define ideal customer profiles, pricing strategies, and sales enablement materials

People Management & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3-5 Product Managers, fostering a culture of ownership, curiosity, and customer obsession
  • Build team capabilities through mentorship, feedback, and exposure to strategic initiatives
  • Hire and onboard exceptional product talent as the team scales

Strategic Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary product point of contact for C-level executives, key customers, and strategic partners
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, and Operations
  • Navigate complex stakeholder landscapes to build consensus and drive decision-making

  • Partner with Engineering and Design leadership to ensure technical feasibility and exceptional user experience

What We're Looking For

Experience & Expertise

  • 8+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS or fintech, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity
  • Proven track record of managing and developing Product Managers, with demonstrated coaching and mentorship abilities
  • Deep expertise in finance operations, spend management, procurement, or adjacent domains is a plus
  • Experience setting product line strategy and executing multi-quarter roadmaps with measurable business impact
  • Strong understanding of complex data models, enterprise workflows, and scalable system architecture

Leadership & Communication

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills — you build trust quickly and can influence without authority
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences (from engineers to C-suite)
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership, enterprise customers, and large internal audiences
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, build consensus, and drive decisions in complex organizational environments
  • Natural talent for storytelling and creating clarity from complexity

Strategic & Business Acumen

  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to balance qualitative insights and quantitative data
  • Deep understanding of SaaS business models, unit economics, and revenue drivers
  • Experience developing go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and positioning for B2B products
  • Comfortable digging into P&L statements and financial metrics to understand product value creation
  • Ability to think several moves ahead — anticipating market shifts, competitive threats, and growth opportunities

Culture & Values

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a bias toward action and shipping
  • Commitment to developing others and building high-performing teams
  • Kindness and empathy in all interactions, with a collaborative leadership style
  • Bold in vision, pragmatic in execution
  • Growth mindset and intellectual curiosity
