Building Systems Specialist

Job Description SummaryAs a Building Systems Specialist with STEMCELL Technologies, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of both hard and soft facilities services. Functioning collaboratively as the primary point of contact for building infrastructure and equipment operation, you will also oversee services such as cleaning, waste management, pest management, and access management. You'll operate as the primary liaison between facilities and the rest of the business, engaging key stakeholders like supply chain, Sales, and EHS to ensure the safe and effective operation of the facility.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Inspect, maintain, and repair building systems, including but not limited to HVAC, cold rooms, boilers, and fire and access control systems

• Ensure that facility operations and maintenance adhere to local statutory requirements and STEMCELL's Quality Management System (QMS) , including ISO13485 and GMP standards

• Engage and communicate with contractors and internal teams to manage scheduled maintenance, including work outside of business hours to prevent and/or minimize downtime; oversee the delivery of services by third-party vendors

• Manage the on-site coordination for facility improvements and upgrades, including improvements to the preventative maintenance program and culture of safety in all work environments

• Monitor building systems and facilities energy consumption and recommend improvements in support of sustainability initiatives

Knowledge and Qualifications

• Prior experience in facility maintenance/management; Post Secondary Certificate or Diploma in a Mechanical or Electrical field is an asset

• Customer focused mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills both in one-on-one and in a group setting; fluency in English and French

• Knowledge of and familiarity with statutory and regulatory maintenance requirements

• Experience in a Biotech or GMP facility is an asset. 

• Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System),  MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) with the ability to learn new programs as required

The annual salary for this job ranges from:

€50, €75,100.00

STEMCELL determines an individual's pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package that may include health benefits, retirement savings, and more (depending on region).
