Automotive Project Manager

We are looking for an Automotive Project Manager
on behalf of one of our clients, a
company specialized in polyurethane foam production and vehicle headliner manufacturing
, with over 80 years of experience.

Objectives

Manage assigned automotive projects from design to stabilization in mass production, ensuring compliance with the
Quality / Cost / Delivery
triangle and overall customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare product cost estimations for RFQs (requests for quotation) and provide technical support to the sales department.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate projects from the design phase through to the start of serial production and up to 6 months after launch.
  • Monitor series production and manage product changes according to customer and internal requirements.
  • Assess project risks, track budgets, control costs, and raise alerts in case of deviations.
  • Coordinate and implement product modifications in series production.
  • Estimate costs of modifications during the project and series production phases.
  • Ensure compliance with design rules, project quality systems, and product/process safety standards.
  • Participate in product development and quality validation with the customer prior to mass production launch.
  • Implement corrective actions in case of deviations from QCD (Quality / Cost / Delivery) objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree (Engineering school or equivalent) and at least 3 years of project management experience in the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Gantt, ERP, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards (IATF and lean manufacturing principles such as Just-in-Time production.
  • Professional command of English (written and spoken) – European travel about twice per month required.
  • Knowledge of German would be a plus.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership, organizational skills, methodological rigor, analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills.
