Spore.Bio is a deeptech start-up born in 2023, building a new paradigm in the quality control systems in Food&Beverage, Cosmetics, and Pharmaceutics factories.

After spending a lot of time in factories environments, we saw the pain it was to make sure products were safe. Traditional quality control has heavy constraints and long waiting times. To change that, we decided to build Spore.Bio, a new generation of microbiological testing.

• Lead the development of plastic-based, single-use consumables — from feasibility to industrialization.

• Design, prototype, and test innovative components ensuring top performance and manufacturability.

• Drive material selection and establish robust quality control throughout R&D and scale-up.

• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to accelerate prototyping and production.

• Work hand-in-hand with hardware and software teams for seamless system integration.

• Execute and analyze fluorescence-based tests to validate product performance.

• Ensure GMP compliance and foster continuous improvement across the consumables lifecycle.

• Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Biotechnology, or related field — Master's or PhD preferred.

• Proven experience in developing and industrializing single-use plastic consumables (e.g. microfluidics or similar).

• Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping and CAD-based design tools (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, etc.).

• Skilled in experimental design and execution, with a strong analytical mindset.

• Experience with fluorescence-based measurements and data interpretation.

• Familiarity with quality control processes and production monitoring.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, both internally and with external partners.

• Knowledge of GMP standards and compliance practices is a plus.

• Experience with membrane filtration and basic microbiology is a plus.
